No more budgeting.
Spend like you normally do. Stoke finds your paychecks, bills, and card payments and projects every account day by day — room to spare when you've got it, a heads up when you don't.
Connect once. The forecast builds itself.
Three steps from sign-up to a forecast that updates as you spend.
Connect or enter
Link a bank in seconds, or hand-enter accounts and transactions yourself. Either way, it feeds the same forecast.
Recurring activity is detected
Paychecks, rent, subscriptions, and bills are picked out of your history and grouped. Anything we miss, you categorize once with a rule that runs on future transactions too.
Balances, projected day by day
The forecast shows when bills land, what your buffer looks like, and whether rent will clear Friday. Adjust any projected item and the line moves.
Every transaction, one forecast
The ledger and the forecast are the same data, day by day. Cash leaves when the card is paid, not at each swipe.
See where your money stands today — and where it's headed.
Bring your own AI
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP-capable assistant to your Stoke data. Ask what you can afford, then have it categorize transactions or draft a plan.

Security and privacy
Bank credentials are the most sensitive thing you'll hand an app. Here's how we handle them, and the rest of your data.
Bank sync via Plaid
The same connection Chime and Robinhood use. We never see or store your bank login, and access is read-only — Stoke can't move money.
Encrypted, at rest and in transit
Bank access tokens and account numbers are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they're stored, and everything travels over TLS. Sign in with a passkey or a one-time email link — there's no password to leak.
No ads, no data resale
We make money from subscriptions, not from your data — it's never sold or used for advertising. Cancel and your data stays put. Delete and it's gone for good.
Frequently asked
What if my bank doesn't connect?
Bank sync runs through Plaid, which reaches most US and Canadian banks but not all. Any account it can't reach, you can hand-enter, and it sits in the same forecast as your synced accounts.
What happens if I cancel?
You're moved to the free plan. Your accounts, transactions, and forecast all stay — only live bank sync stops. To turn it back on, re-subscribe and reconnect your bank through Plaid; we match the reconnected accounts back to your existing ones where we can.
How are credit cards handled?
A card purchase shows up in your spending the day you swipe. Cash leaves when you pay the card, so the forecast projects each card's payment on its due date, out of the account that pays it.
What if I delete my account?
Everything goes — accounts, transactions, the forecast, and any linked bank connections. Deletion is final; we don't keep a copy.
Do I need my own AI assistant?
Yes. Stoke doesn't include a chatbot. Pro adds an MCP connection from an AI app you already use — Claude, ChatGPT, or another that supports MCP — to your Stoke data, so it can read your forecast and act on it.
What can the AI do with my data?
You choose when you connect: read-only, or read and write. Read-only lets your assistant answer questions about your spending and projected balances. Read and write also lets it categorize transactions, create rules, and build plans. You can revoke access at any time from Settings.
